
Young athletes at this stage will show signs of physical and mental maturation. Training considerations for this period of development will include the introduction to intermediate movement and speed skills.
Additionally, young athletes will develop greater systemic strength as bar and external-resistance, strength skills will be introduced. Lastly, athletes at this stage will be introduced to static flexibility and Range-Of-Motion based activities.
Daily training revolves specifically on the status of each athlete. Developing young athletes can experience extreme levels of stress, however, the coping mechanisms of the adolescent psyche are not fully developed at this stage. AthletiCo’s Performance Enhancement Specialists will routinely deviate from conventional training schemes to make sure each athlete’s health and well-being is positively nurtured while continuing to improve athletic attributes.
